View Full Version : Which Jango is the Best???

Out of the three 3 and 3/4th Jango figs out right now, which one is the best? Sneak Peek, Kamino Escape, or Final Battle (I'm leaving out the Deluxe Jango, because it just looks lame)? So far I've been hearing great things about the Final Battle Jango. What do you guys think? Oh yeah, is the Sneak Peek Jango even out on the shelves anymore? Out of the four Sneak Peek figs, that's the only one I'm missing.
Also, are there anymore 3 and 3/4th Jango figures planned in the near future? What other action figures could they possibly give him?
Has anyone picked up the 12" Jango? That's the fig I really want. He has all of his action features from the movie and you can remove all his gear! Very kick arse! Anyone got a review for it?

There is a review/questionaire on this page for 12 inch Jango and his accessories.
As for 3 3/4 Jango's...Kamino Escape may be the best figure. It's all about the removable Helmet. Pistols go in the holster, launching back pack. Hook is ok.
Sneak Preview is cool, great sculpt, But you are limited to a few poses. Blast effects kick @$$, all guns should come with these.
Final Battle has cool leg articulation, but the legs are in some weird pose. My flame thrower has a super spring though and can take out plenty of jedi...

i've been seeing the preview jangos everywhere, actually, especially at TRU's and Kay Bee's. i actually like that figure the best, though. on my Kamino Jango, you can see the neckline since the helmet doesn't fit completely and it bothers me for some reason.

I agree with Darth Yambag; Kamino Escape might be the best overall Jango so far. He's got the most "normal" pose out of all em. Seeing his neck when his helmet on bugs me though. The grappling hook isn't too bad, but I wish you could just detach the whole thing.
Final Battle Jango is growing on me though. I think his detailing is better than KE Jango, and I dig the removeable head. His legs seem like they were meant for one pose, which makes the knee articulation seem worthless, but his pose does look cool. One thing I don't like about this one is that he looks kind of dorky when you have him just using his guns. His right wrist is bent so he can't point his gun straight, and his left elbow is so close to his body, he looks like a retard when you try to point his gun.
So in conclusion, if you want a gun-toting Jango, definitely go for Kamino Escape Jango.
Kamino Escape blows the others away I think.
If it wasn;t for the retarded pose, Final Batle would be. He looks like he's a thug robbing a 7-11 with the way he is pointing his gun. And the empty hole where the big orange flame ball goes looks dumb. Only slightly less dumb than with it in the hole.

Kamino Escape because he has the most features:
1. Removable helmet
2. Functional holsters
3. Functional missile
4. Functional grappling hook
And he has a cool "fighting stance"
No other SW figure IMO has this many features (accessories don't count IMO)

I didn't see the thread for the 12' Jango review, just one for his accessories so I guess I will answer the question here.
The 12" Jango Fett figure is arguably the best figure that Hasbro has put out. The body style has a great range of motion, the likeness is outstanding, and the accessories are so good that I have a hard time deciding what I like best. The blasters are cool and the sculpt of the hands fits them perfectly. The spare hands come with the rubber covered wire type poseable fingers and are the best type of secondary hands to add in. the saber darts are cool and the fact that they can be attached to his gauntlets is cool as well. The helmet with the rotating range finder/antenna is another nice touch. Giving him both back packs was a good thought, and of course it would have been totally wrong if they had refused to allow the missle to fire from the main one. And lastly, the paint job on the one I got was tremendously done. It is easy to say that I am looking forward to the 12" lightsaber Yoda. If they do any where near as good a job on that one, I can forsee it being my all-time favorite figure! I need to remember to send Hasbro the kudos in the dear Hasbro section!

Kamino Escape Jango all the way! I really LOVE that figure! Was the first AOTC fig i got. And errr...the grappling hook thing is removable.

Why not get all three Blue Card versions (inc deluxe) and customise them.
You will then have a removable helmet and [spoiler] version with removable armour. That would be a better Jango.

I pick the Kamino Escape simply based on the number of features this figure comes with. The helmet bothered me at first until I realized that the helmet that comes with Boba fits KE Jango much better and also looks more accurate. The only difference is the shade of silver on the helmet is slightly darker but it looks good enough that i don't mind.

I've got both the Final Battle and Kamino Escape Jango. I never got the sneak preview Jango. Like mista_carrot said, each one has its uses. KE Jango is far and away better if you want to pose Jango firing his guns; FB Jango looks ridiculous with guns. However, FB Jango's armor is dirty and beat up, which really adds a lot of personality to the figure IMO. Plus his standard pose looks better than KE Jango's super wide legged pose. Though FB Jango's right lower leg is molded so that it's permanently bent inwards, so he's basically stuck in that one position....
I think I like FB Jango more cuz of his armor detailing and the fact that his head comes off. But they're both great. At $6 apiece you can't really lose, so I'd just grab 'em both.
DarthMaulSithLord: what did you do, yank the grappling hook out of his arm? It sure ain't removable on mine :) Unless you mean the actual hook part attached to the string, in which case you can just cut it....

Is this even a question to debate? Of course the Kamino version is the best. It has the best pose, the best articulation, plus the working holsters, which IMO, totally raises the coolness of a figure. I wish Hasbro would make them universal.

As for which Jango is best, I think Kamino Escape is the best because even though the helmet is too big and you can see the figure's skin underneath, it has the best articulation (even has a ball-jointed neck), the most neutral stance (which isn't saying all THAT much), and working holsters.
Final Battle Jango is so hard to find good poses for, what with the oddball legs, crooked hands, and over-curved back. It has its charms, but I prefer a more well-rounded Jango figure than this.

I only have KE but by the looks of the others I will like him the most (although I too want the other two)

I have the preview figure, Kamino Escape and I just got Final Battle today, Kamino Escape is the best Jango.
A lot of people are bothered by the fact that you can see his neck when the helmet is on but I just moved his head further forward and you can hardly see it.
Kamino Escape has working holsters, working helmet, a great pose, great head sculpt and a cool hook accessory on his arm.
Preview Jango is more like a statue.
I wasn't too impressed by final battle jango to be honest, I thought this one would be the best but it's not.

Hey, thanks for the tip - I had to use pliers to yank out the grappling hook but now I like the figure 10 times better :)

My Kamino Jango's neck isn't balljointed. It can only move from side to side.

I wonder if you could take the legs from KE Jango and put them onto the FB Jango's body... that way the final Jango would have the cool holsters...
Actually... I could take something from all 3 figures.. I love the blasters and the "blast effects" from the preview figure. I love the removeable helmet/grappling hook/firing missile/holsters from the KE figure. I love the removable head from the final battle figure... Put them all together and you'd have the greatest figure of all time.
I think the FB Jango's legs are made funny because he is SUPPOSED to be posed down on his knees, about to get his head lopped off by Mace Windu.

I don't think FB Jango is supposed to be posed on his knees; my Jango can barely stay up in that pose and he wasn't on his knees in the movie. I think he was meant to be standing with his right leg pulled back and his left leg bent.
I was also pondering the idea of a Franken-Jango, but now that I have all three figures I don't think it's necessary.
Here's a pic of the pose my FB Jango is in. Only problem is, it's the only pose I like!

Kamino Jango is pretty sweet indeed, but I'd have to go with Preview Jango. The Lara Croft like pose he's got is great. Since AOTC rolled in he's been very hard to find in my neck of the woods.

Cool pose. I like that one better than the way he comes posed in the package, I think, so now that's how my Jango FB is standing. :)
Edit: oops, I didn't mean how he comes posed in the package, I meant that one stance they show on the back of the card, where he has his legs close together...you know the one I mean. I can get him to stand that way pretty easily JediTricks. But I like carrot's pose better....

Carrot, that's the pose I have mine in too. It's the ONLY one I can get it to stand in.

My vote is for the Sneak Preview Jango...closely followed by Final Battle...

I dunno, hard to tell... I finally got another KE Jango to open tonight and while it's kinda fun it lacks being able to be posed more - but it looks like it would host a jetpack with blast effects on the thrusters better than the preview.
I'd say they both have their pros and cons but we really need a Jango Pilot and Jango Geonosis Spectator (Basically a Kamino escape with neutral posing and could come with a little Droideka hologram for the heck of it)

My favorite is sneak preview Jango. His stance looks the coolest if you want to pose him but Kamino is more fun to play with.
