Hey....I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this, but I just read this on R2dtoys.com

"This is the Fan Club Vader first unveiled as an exlusive Toy Fair Vader in January 2002 for the New York show. The Fan Club version is due in June and is likely to be the same figure but with some subtle packaging changes, making this an expectedly more common figure than the Toy Fair Vader and less costly.
The Toy Fair Darth Vader figure was created especially for the 2002 New York Toy Fair to commemorate 25 years of Star Wars magic from Lucasfilm and Hasbro, and to celebrate the upcoming release of Episode II in May 2002.

Item # 84908. Mint packaging. Ages 4+. "

Is this verified??? It's the first I've heard of it.

I read that too. R2dtoys are a new shop in the UK, and have a great range of stock, and at a great price.

The Toy Fair Darth Vader variation will possibly be produced without the New York Toy Fair text on the card.

That's the only thing that I can think of that will be changed on the re-issue.

Make them both accessible through the fan club. And by accessible I mean that if you log on 2 minutes after they go on sale you can ACTUALLY get one!!!

If this is true..I'll be getting one since I missed out on the "True" Toy Fair Vader.Nice that it wont have the text about NY Toy Fair..I wont feel so bad ripping Vader out of the package :D :D

I'm not sure if anyone has noticed this yet but I'm pretty sure the Toy Fair Vader is a repaint of the Vader in the Final Jedi Duel cinema scene produced by Kenner in 1997. If you look at the bottom of his right foot there is even a Kenner stamp on it. Regardless it is still a great looking fig. with a creative packaging design.

I asked the fan club if it was true and this was the response I got back:

"At this point it looks highly unlikely that we will have any more of the Toy Fair Darth Vaders for sale in the foreseeable future. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause,

Star Wars Fan Club"

hmmm....what do you think?

What do I think?, were the Fan Club still based in Denver, we'd be able to get Sacul AND TF Vader........

I doubt it Taichi, especially for the Sacul figure. Lucas would keep his figure limited since he has final say over the use of his likeness.
