Could his faulty lightsaber be an indication of his shortcomings when he constructed it, whatever they might be. It seemed rather strange to me.

When did it fizzle? I don't remember seeing that.

Fizzling lightsaber? You mean the scene just after Anakin gets his arm caught on the conveyor belt? When the machine came down it cut his lightsaber in half. That's why it was fizzling, because it just got sliced into 2 pieces. :)

Shouldn't a weapon of such power EXPLODE rather than just spark a lot?
