View Full Version : Vader

I'm kinda new to collecting. I'm going back and picking up some of the cooler figures from the past. One of the coolest has to be Vader with Removable Helmet. I keep them on the card, and this one seems like it will display great. Anyway, Brian's Toys has these for 14.99 plus 6.00 shipping. Is this a good price??
Thanks for your help. Plus, I would love some suggestions for other cool figures to pick up.

I would say that $14.99 is a good price. The figure has become more widley available recently, as a few years ago it was up to £40-£50 (maybe more) over here in the UK. It now goes for £15-£20.
I am only going by the US1$ for UK1£ as most things over here do.
Although I don't live in the US (wish I did sometimes) That price (too me) is worth it.

That price isn't too bad, but after brians high shipping, it's not worth it. You should try some collector stores around you. Who knows there might be one that is trying to get rid of some old stuff. If you live in CA there's plenty of stores around. You should try to stay away from brians toys way too$$$$

That is a really cool Darth Vader. There are a lot of cool figures in the POTJ line, including 2 more Darth Vaders. I like the Boba Fett (300th version) and Han Solo Bespin Escape.
Brian's Toys prices are a little high. I would check around on some of the other sponsors of this website first and compare them to Brian's toys, if anyone else has the one you're looking for. Kebco, Jams, collctor's gallery, toyzz.com, even the star wars fansite has some figures.
Also, I would check E-Bay or yahoo auctions, especially if you plan on opening your figures. Loose figures are always cheaper. I just won a lot of 23 loose droids for $22 ($29 after shipping).
By the way, the price guide I have says that Darth Vader worth $26 but if it has #.01 on the slide, it is worth $12.
Just shop around.

thanks for the advice guys. I'm in SE Pennsylvania, there's no collector shops around. I can't find any decent figures around. I have 3 Walmarts, 2 Kmarts and a TRU within 20 minutes of me, and none of them have the Yoda or Bespin Wave. It's frustrating. I will check around on that Vader though. I have a bid for one on Ebay right now.

$14.99 is a reasonable price. I think that's how much I paid for mine when I bought it at Electonic Botique. I also bought a FF Bespin Luke for $12.99. I bought the both of these around the time FF's were first released.

I got the FF Bespin Luke for I think $2 when my dad went to the US on business-trip

Since I've been looking at it, I haven't Darth for under $20 before S&H on Ebay.

I don't know how you are searching, but i found 73 vaders with removable helmets on ebay under 10 bucks even one for 2.50 at ends in one day. here's a few auctions you sould check out. 1733708877, 1733739044 and 1733748478. When you go into search look under Star wars Neo classics and search for Vader removable Helmet. Hope this helps

Great figure. Post that you want one on the classifieds area of this site, or email me and ask about other sites with collector groups that hook each other up with good deals. This is the real way to beat the scalpers - working together. That being said, I bought mine in with a group of figures and got not a bad deal. I did, however, get a bunch of other not-so-great figures that I don't need. Such is life.

I did post on the classifieds and got a couple great offers way below ebay. The one I went with was only $13.50 delivered. Now comes the hard part...the waiting.

I bought Darth Vader from Brian's Toys.com and I wasn't charged much for shipping. If you do buy from them, it is better to buy more than just a few figs...that way you can spread the shipping cost across multiple figures.

I bought a loose RH Vader at Brian's Toys a couple of years ago for $10. It came in a baggie and was in ~perfect~ shape, I was rather surprised. It's one of my fave figures.
