View Full Version : Anakin Naboo Pilot Error / Variation?

Hello everybody,
I just found a possible error or variation on my
carded Anakin Skywalker (Naboo Pilot). The
CommTech chip is flipped upside down so you
see the words instead of the picture of Anakin.
I have only seen pictures of carded figures where
the CommTech chip shows the picture and not
the words on the other side. Has anyone else
ever seen anything like this? Would it be considered
an error or a variation?

PS: I don't have access to a scanner, but if someone
wants to see a pic I will see what I can do.

That would definitely be an error, and is the "peg" of the chip still facing the right way?

No, the peg on the chip is facing down. I didn't notice
that before, but the bubble has a little space for the
peg, and the peg is facing down toward the card.

Thanks for the help.

Has anybody else seen this? It almost must
be a one of a kind error.

I've never heard of this error before, but this sort of thing is bound to happen whenever you have fairly generic inserts.

I would have found it really interesting if the peg was still right-side up, because then the little sheet of paper inside would have been manufactured into the chip upside-down.

no, but i've heard of somebody who has the chip with wording facing up.

I'll try to borrow a digital camera and snap a few pictures
of it.
