Does anyone else find it pretty funny that after Dooku escapes, and Padme arrives with the Clonetroopers in tow, she runs right up to Anakin and starts kissing him and hugging him without even NOTICING his missing arm? She doesn't even look at it.

I hope if I ever lose a limb my girlfriend will be that undersstanding...:D

I got the impression she noticed his wound from afar during her sprint into the hangar, but yeah the scene is rather rushed in that sense. :D

Could you imagine how much funnier it would have been if she rushed up and said,"Ewww, what happened to your arm?":D

Or if Jar Jar came bursting in to give him a handshake the same way he shook Obi's hand at the beginning of the film? :D

seems that losing limbs is par for the course in the jedi life, so whe was probably just like, "eh, had to happen some time..."

She probably was so happy he wasn't dead she was over come with love.

I thought it was funnier the way Anakin seemed so totally unphased by the fact his arm was gone. He just stood right up and hugged Padme.

actually, obi-wan helped him up.:)

Hey, you leave my misconceptions alone!

It was still there, it just had some green sleeve over it. :D The green is fussy about showing up on film though...

That adds to the "jumping on the reek without being phased from pain" and the "patting Ani like a puppy dog even though he slaughtered all those Tuskens" scenes. ;)

Yeah, that was actually what first brought my attention to it Blahblahblah. I was wondering why he barely seemed to care that his freaking arm was gone, and then I wondered if Padme has a reaction to it. So I went back and checked a couple times and apparently NOBODY seems to care. Oh well

Of course that also brings up the question of "If medical technology is so darn advanced that they can create mehcanical limbs without breaking a sweat, why can't they REATTACH HIS OWN ARM?"

I mean it's not like Luke where his hand fell down a huge pit or something; Anakins arm was sitting right there somewhere and it only got cut off a few minutes before.

I'm sure there could be some EU reason why they couldn't put it back on, like lightsaber burns cause too much damage to the nerve endings or some such thing, but I thought I would point it out.:)

I doubt there would be an EU reason because according to some books, it IS possible to reattach a limb using bacta and other procedures of course and it said the only reason why Luke couldn't have his hand attached was because it went exploring the bottom of Bespin.

Just remember, Anakin doesnt need his right arm anymore. He has Padme now.
Oh gosh, that came out so wrong....

Why do I get the feeling that this thread will be closed soon? That would be a shame. Let's keep it clean.

Because this is a comedy gold mine. :) ;)

I did wonder at first why they couldn't just attatch the arm. I think it's just "cooler" and more "rebellious" to have a mechanical arm ;)

Padme: "I think you dropped this."
Action: She holds up Anakin's arm.

Anakin: "Opps, I did it again!"

Large scale dance takes place with clone troopers drinking Pepsi in the background.

this is after the big "duel" at the end of the movie (doy!) but did you notice that everyone including padme' of course, runs to anikan and leaves obi-wan standing there hunched over due to his injury. poor guy....:( i feel sorry for him even more now.... anyone else catch this?

Obi-Wan = Small stab to his leg, slash to his arm

Anakin = He was toasted by force lightning and his arm was chopped off

Not to step on your idea. But you tell me, who in the above case, requires more attention for shock as well as injuries? Not to mention, Padme is gonna run to Anakin anyway, because she loves him. :)

But of course Padme would pass by Obi-Wan and the rest would too. Obi had flesh wounds while Anakin lost an arm. Just makes sense to me. Also Padme is in love with Anakin, not Obi-Wan.

But then again, no one seemed to think it was a big deal that Anakin had an MIA limb.

boo hoo....anikan lost an arm.....well, if he would have praticed his swordsmaship more than his wit, he would rival master yoda. but he's an idiot and gets carless and gets caught useing one hand thats way out there and gets it sliced off....what an idiot...

Well pthfnder89 if you think about it lightsabers are ike swords of fore, if you will. Remeber when Qui Gonn was burning down the door. Once anakin's arm was lopped off. All the nrevers must have been burned and sealed up. It's not the same if I were to cut my hand off with a sword and retattch it. It would happen becuase my nerves aren't sealed up.

It looks like they are, and Yoda & Obi-Wan are even there to witness it.

One thing I could never figure out(besides just to build tension in the scene), is why do Ben and Anakin just lie there? I mean Obi-Wan had enough strength to force catch his lightsaber and throw it to Anakin, why not help Yoda force lift the huge hunk of metal that was about to fall ontop of him, or both he and Anakin can do it to let Yoda keep on fighting! But instead they just lie there like a bunch of pansies, and then when Yoda saves the day, they just get up like they were never injured! Oy Vey! Pretty cheesie but tolerable I guess.

What I can't figure out is if they have the technology to clone a whole person, why can't they clone him a new arm?

I was wondering why during the Battle of Geonosis while the Republic Gunships were kicking the droid army's butt, why non of the Federation droid fighters were sent in to help in the air?

Actually Padme runs up to Anakin, even though he killed all those Sandpeople, because he looked armless. Get it?! Armless. :crazed:
