Wasn't this 150 dollars the first time around? What exactly makes it worth 100 dollars more? Did Sideshow take it over or something?
Probably the same thing that makes them think they can sell that ATT (MTT, whatever) for considerably more than anyone else and offer a "$50 off!!!!" coupon.
Some of the price increase can maybe possibly be attributed to factory wage increases, but I'm going to bet that most of it is just TRU's good ol' exclusive markup. They've run sales and promotions for their big-ticket items for the last couple of years (after marking them up somewhat), but this and the MTT are probably the worst prices I can remember. Jeez.
The 20% off apparently doesn't apply to the Falcon. It was supposed to lower the price when put in the cart, but it doesn't do that. I'm kinda interested in this, but not at $250.
