• South Park Election Conspiracy: Votes Traded to Keep Star Wars Safe

      South Park has been on point with relating their episodes to the happenings in pop culture, so with the presidential elections taking place yesterday, viewers could guess what the topic of the night was.

      A preview clip already let fans know that Cartman was hiding a bunch voter ballots from swinger states (which he called "perverted"), but why would he do such a thing?

      Two words: Star Wars.

      Huh?

      By way of exposition, the South Park version of Obama spills the beans on a diabolical election conspiracy worthy of Fox News, "I told you China would get the rights to Star Wars from Disney as long as my presidency is secure."

      If you're still confused, do not fret. Morgan Freeman appears to clarify:

      "The Chinese simply want to guard Star Wars' impeccable legacy. And now we're at a crossroads. If these ballots are made public, then the man the people voted for will be president, but he will no doubt keep Star Wars from the Chinese and allow Disney to keep it instead. So we have to ask ourselves, what's more important? That the right man is elected president or that Star Wars is with people that will protect it most?"
