• The Clone Wars Ends for Cartoon Network, SW Detours Postponed, New Series Teased

It's official - no more episodes are being produced for Cartoon Network, and the show is winding down. Nevertheless, they're "continuing production on new Clone Wars story arcs that promise to be some of the most thrilling adventures ever seen," and the included video with showrunner Dave Filoni says that it's some of the most important gaps that are still left to fill. The show has had a great run so far and it will still go on a little longer, so it's not too disappointing.

The story also says that Star Wars: Detours has been postponed. They also mentioned a new animated series that takes place in an era where no previous movies or TV shows have taken place.

I'm not interested in any new shows unless they take place between ANH and ROTJ. Maybe something that takes place immediately after ROTJ; but it really depends on the story.

What eras have been covered by TV shows so far?

Droids - roughly between ROTS and ANH
Ewoks - before ANH and before the Ewok films
Clone Wars (both versions) between Ep2 and 3
Ewok Adventure/Battle for Endor - before ANH
Holiday Special - I'm assuming this one doesn't count, but between ANH and ESB.

One more example of how Disney is going to ruin this all.

I think that these new story arcs will be shown on the Disney XD channel. As for this new series... could this be a KOTOR series? If so, cool!

I want New Jedi Order So we see Han Luke and Leia back in action with Jaina Jacen and Anakin.

I think stuff set between A New Hope and Return of the Jedi would bore me.

I hope none of it has to do with the expanded universe.

I think a KOTOR series could be cool. They wouldn't exactly have to start from scratch seeing as how some pre vis and digital models will exist from the game.

Between ANH and ROJ would bore me, too.

With E7, 8 and 9 coming I think an earlier time is more likely.

Disney disgusts me.... We will probably Never see detours now. Secondly Clone Wars Has been something that allowed me and my son to bond so well over the years. Of course nothing lasts forever and in the hands of Disney nothing good lasts period. Still, regardless if George wants to retire or not, the fact that he had such a stance against industry and for his own autonomy in filmmaking that I Still surprised that he would sacrifice his creation to the corrupt w.o.e.that are Disney. RIP Star Wars..........

That makes two of us. I surprised myself with the strong reaction I had to this news.

My son and I watch Clone Wars together every Saturday and now we can't.

Yes, I seriously think that Disney doesn't understand, or just doesn't care about the fact that for old fans and young, that Clone Wars was something that brought families together. I'll tell you that there is not one show on Disney that I'd sit and watch with my kids. Right now I'm trying to decide if I should turn my back on Star Wars as it has turned it's backs on us. After watching the season finale and the exit of Ahsoka I now truly believe that all this betrayal to the fans has been planned since long before season 5 began. I believe the last celebrations Clone Wars panels were full if lies and deception. I truly hope Filoni was out of the loop or if he was corraled into ending the season as is,but it's to hard to know for sure, especially with his guilt ridden message about what we may now expect for clone wars just after the season finale. I hope they at least follow through on that and are not using this Hope as another way to deceive us that Disney may quell outcry such as mine. These are dark times, I wish there was more we could do............

Episode IV is not due for two, possibly three years and yet Disney/NewLucasfilm believes there is going to be a conflict between the two properties. Really?

What? Star Wars fans can't handle more than one entertainment medium at the same time? I guess they better cancel all the novels, comics, video games, Lego cartoons, etc. as well then.

        Give me a break.
