• New Details on SW Celebration Europe Gus Lopez Panels and Star Tots

In the exciting tradition of Gus Lopez's Celebration Collecting Programs, his group has designed collectibles exclusively for the show. Those attending his panels -- and only those folks -- will be given a different Celebration Europe Star Tot at some point during each panel.

Below are the rest of the Star Tot designs, supplementing the first batch. Each Star Tot will come on its own cardback, created just for Celebration Europe!

These remarkable and original collectibles are still in development, so these are not final images, but they will give you a good idea of the great things in store at Celebration Europe.
Especially for Celebration Europe, Lopez is organizing a program with a worldwide -- and especially European -- focus on collecting Star Wars. The next five panels to be presented are listed below, and are in addition to the panels already announced.

      Nordic Vintage Collectibles
Take a cold journey through some unique and rare collectibles from a long time ago (1977-87) in a region far, far north. Collectors Mattias Rendahl (Sweden) and Henrik Wulff Rasmussen (Denmark) will showcase toys, movie posters, food items, comics, cast and crew collectibles and more from Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Norway and Iceland. Beware the Vikings!

Original Movie Props and Wardrobe Collecting

Collectors David Abberley and Gus Lopez will share an insider's look at one of the most exciting and exclusive areas of Star Wars collecting: original film props and wardrobe. This in-depth discussion will feature a panel of collectors who have scoured the globe for original artifacts used in the creation of the Star Wars movies. They will field audience questions and share their decades of experience, as well as slideshows showcasing dozens of original Star Wars pieces now in private collections.

      European Food Collectibles

Food promotions have been used to market the Star Wars saga to a worldwide audience from the very beginning and continue to do so now. These collectibles represent one of the largest, oldest, and most diverse categories of Star Wars collectibles with well over 10,000 different food-related packages, premiums, and store displays. Presenters Jonathan McElwain, Duncan Jenkins, and Gus Lopez will cover the breadth of food collectibles in this fascinating presentation.

      Changing Collecting Interests

Life can take us to some interesting places and present us with unexpected highs and lows. Throughout it all, for both serious and casual collectors, collecting habits will be affected. Whether it's refinement of collecting interests, responding to new products on the market, or adjusting to life changes or different spending habits, experienced collectors Shane Turgeon and Elling Haug have appropriate tips on how to stay in it for the long haul.

Star Wars Collectibles Books Author Panel

Star Wars collectibles books have covered a wide range of material including posters, prototypes, tattoos, action figures, rarities, coins, cast and crew items, and price guides. This panel gathers together some of the leading authors of Star Wars collecting books: Steve Sansweet, Stephane Faucourt, Shane Turgeon, Mattias Rendahl, Duncan Jenkins, Gus Lopez, Mark Salotti, and James Gallo. These expert collectors will discuss their work, give a glimpse into what goes into researching and creating a Star Wars collectibles guide, and field questions from the audience.
