• Hasbro Black Series Boba Fett figure to debut at Comic-Con, with Solo in tow

Boba Fett is coming to San Diego Comic-Con in July, and he's bringing a friend.
One of the collectible toys that Hasbro will have available exclusively at the pop-culture event this year is a detailed 6-inch Boba Fett action figure from the new Star Wars Black Series. What's even better is that he comes packaged with two weapons, his iconic jet pack and the ultimate accessory: Han Solo frozen in carbonite.

Kids of all ages can relive the moments in the Cloud City of Bespin during The Empire Strikes Back where Boba Fett hauls off his prey, or the scenes in Return of the Jedi where the iconic bounty hunter has taken Solo to Jabba the Hutt's palace on Tattooine.

The special-edition set is priced at $44.99 and will be sold at the Hasbro booth at the San Diego Convention Center July 18-21.

The first wave of four Black Series figures, due out in early to mid-August, includes Luke Skywalker in his X-Wing Fighter flight suit, fan-favorite droid R2-D2, Sith lord Darth Maul and an Imperial Sandtrooper.

If you don't want to wait that long to get Star Wars stuff, in honor of Star Wars Day/May the Fourth on Saturday fans can use the promo code "SWFANDAY" to get 20% off Star Wars and Angry Birds Star Wars toys online at HasbroToyShop.com.

This is pretty exciting as a concept, basically what we assumed but still quite cool. $45 is a tad steep, hopefully it looks good in person. The sculpt and paint here aren't blowing me away, they largely look upscaled from the existing 3.75" figure, but I'm hoping that's just prototype photography going astray as it so often does.

I hear that. I've been excited just for the format change on the line, and for them not trying to do everything. Being selective is freeing in a way.

      Pro football? AGAIN?!? Oh yeah!

NFL draft this year seemed more ho-hum to me. Steelers got some guys, other teams got some other guys, a guy from Germany is a Viking now.

      4:20? Try 11:38!

Was at a racing event yesterday, and tried to get a 1138 somehow in the times on the clock: this was the closest (spoiler: no cigar).
