• A Digested Look at The Vintage Collection

JediTempleArchives.com has put together a comprehensive look at The Vintage Collection. The main attraction is JTA polling 19 separate Star Wars fans sites to create a fantastic top 25 list for the brand (and we're not just saying that because we were included); but there's also an amazing image compiling all the line's carded figures, another of all of them loose; and if that wasn't cool enough also some Hasbro Star Wars brand key players' top 20 TVC figures lists.

Click here to check out JTA's Digested Look at The Vintage Collection, it's a great review of a great line.

This is a really cool look back at TVC, I quite enjoyed reading it even if some annoying guy with my name and my dumb opinions cropped up every once in a while. It's also interesting to see how Hasbro feels about the line, how different each member feels. Vennemeyer being the head sculptor on the brand for so long, it's surprising to see that 3PO on there at the top.

Yesterday... $2.42 was the price I paid. Now, I drove to Costco, sort-of far away. Oh, I believe, refueled yesterday.

      It's College Football Again!

No good: missed FG and other special teams mishaps led to a Buckeyes loss, unhappily at Penn State. YSU can't get it done against the higher-ranked SD

I had read that E.E. "Doc" Smith's "Lensmen" series from the 1930s was supposedly an influence not only on Star Wars (and Lucas) but

      AOTC 3D cards

Those have always been overpriced, IMHO. Sad, really. But they are quality cards, so I guess you pay what you get for.

Power Play! NHL 13-14 (and beyond?)

They sure like that 3-2 score; every one of the Pens' three wins so far ended that way, after tonight's Cup Final rematch against the Sharks.
