Star Wars: The Clone Wars may have finished production, but at Sunday's Daytime Emmy Awards, the voters nominated The Clone Wars with 7 nominations, and the peer panel for the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences honored the animated series with an award for Outstanding Special Class Animated Program, as well as one for Outstanding Performer in an Animated Program for David Tennant's guest performance.

News just in from Lucasfilm and Disney reports on a new animated Star Wars tv show, Star Wars Rebels. The Clone Wars showrunner Dave Filoni will be executive producer on this series, along with Greg Weisman (Gargoyles, Young Justice) and Simon Kinberg (Ep VII, X-Men First Class, Sherlock Holmes). The show will take place between Episode III and IV, it will be CG and will borrow from Star Wars concept artist Ralph McQuarrie's iconic designs. Star Wars Rebels will air on Disney XD with a one-hour special on Disney Channel first, and is looking to release in fall of 2014. More details and a video below.

Reports are coming out that Disney has shut down LucasArts this morning and laid off its 150 employees, and that the next big LucasArts game, Star Wars 1313, has been canceled - although it may have a future release as an outside licensee-developed game. Disney seems to be considering adding a Star Wars-themed land at the Disneyland Resort in California, and is gauging interest via an online survey. A screenshot from a Disney survey shows the question "How interested would you be in visiting a Star Wars themed land at the Disneyland Resort?" and uses Yoda's lightsaber as the progress bar for the survey.
