One of Mickey Mouse’s favorite things about “Star Wars” Weekends is that he gets to dress in his Jedi best and join the galactic fun. Each year, Mickey seems to take on a different role in the official “Star Wars” Weekends logo. This year, his imagination takes him to the Forest Moon of Endor, where he is seen zipping away from scout troopers with Chip and Dale. Mickey’s wild speeder bike ride on this year’s artwork has historical significance, as 2013 marks the 30th anniversary of “Star Wars: Episode VI Return of the Jedi” — the film that featured the Battle of Endor.

One weekend last October, Robert Iger, chief executive officer of Walt Disney (DIS), sat through all six Star Wars films. He’d seen them before, of course. This time, he took notes. Disney was in secret negotiations to acquire Lucasfilm, the company founded by Star Wars creator George Lucas, and Iger needed to do some due diligence.

One of the "Holy Grails" of the toy collecting world is the incredibly rare and hard-to-find Rocket Firing Boba Fett figure prototype. The only evidence of "what could have been," the original Boba Fett figure was never released with its rocket firing feature due to safety concerns. No finished versions of the functional figure are known to exist, and only a few of the original one-color injection-molded figures prototypes have ever been seen outside of the Kenner factory. These pieces are highly sought-after by collectors and have fetched incredible prices on the secondary markets.
