XKCD, one of the internet's most creative and intelligent web comics, uses simple art and only a few panels - plus mouseover text - to say what it has to say, every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, thanks to creator Randall Munroe. The comic has set its sights on Star Wars before, but today's is pretty clever. Or maybe you'll find it obvious, but I'd still argue the execution is note-perfect. The summer issue of Disney twenty-three magazine hits stands on May 3, filled with features that will take readers from the depths of the sea to the edges of a galaxy far, far away.... The swashbuckling cover story on Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides is definitely worth picking up for interviews with director Rob Marshall and actors Geoffrey Rush, Ian McShane and Richard Griffiths, but Star Wars fans will definitely be interested to learn that the magazine features an exclusive interview with George Lucas.

From the Disney Parks blog, the Star Tours II destinations list was revealed, and it includes Tatooine, Coruscant, Kashyyyk, Hoth, Naboo, and Geonosis, which as the picture teased, has the Death Star nearby. According to leading market research company, The NPD Group, U.S. retail sales of toys generated $21.87 billion in 2010 compared to $21.46 billion in 2009, an increase of 2 percent. Strong fourth quarter (Oct.'10 - Dec.'10) sales, which experienced an increase of 3 percent over fourth quarter 2009, saw revenues top $10.2 billion, representing close to half of the year-end total, with December 2010 generating $5.64 billion, a 4 percent increase over December 2009.
