That Goulet commercial was considered one of the big flops of the superbowl ads because Bob Goulet just doesn't resonate with the young people and it tested VERY poorly due to that. I'll give them weird-points for trying though.
I loved that commercial, it was damn hilarious.
I can't see/hear Robert Goulet without thinking of the Will Ferrell sketch.
Even though I fall in with the younger crowd, I know who Robert Goulet is (mainly from his "Simpsons" guest spot and the SNL skit), and I still thought the commercial fell flat. I thought the "Rock, Paper, Scissors" ad from Bud Light was the best one out of a bunch of cruddy commercials.Quote:
