Wow! Toshiko and Owen! noooooo. :( that device Toshiko puts together is seriously cool.
Jack's a wuss. Never stops blubbing.
Iantho is finally coming out of his shell. really like how he's been on the slow burner and gradually come to the fore.
Rhys drives a Ford Capri! cool man.
PC Andy should get more time. he makes me chuckle.
That blowfish alien is fantastic. love the way the head fin moves.
The view over Cardiff when that thing starts happening all over is really nice. very movie-esque.
Cpt. John, god he looks old. and so thin. just skin and bone. that's not a healthy look.
I thought the finale was patchy but the good bits more than made up for the padding. when he's not snarling and shouting Burn Gorman is actually a fine actor. I hated Owen to begin with but I've warmed to him. the geek episode 'Adam' I thought he was lovely in. managed to be geeky without too many cliched touches.
oh well back to DW. there are now two preview clips of Silence in the library floating around. plus the mid season trailer. It was officially announced that Russel T Davies is stepping down as executive producer and is being replaced by Stephen Moffat who wrote Blink from season three. From the sound of things there will be some changes made to the show. I think RTD is onboard through til the xmas 2009 special then Moffat takes the reigns properly with season five.
RTD has written a book about his time on Dr. Who where apparently he discusses how it came to be that the show was brought back and the struggles they had bringing it to the screen. sounds like a RTD ego stroke to me but it might be worth a read.
Thanks, but I think we're just going to rent the first couple of seasons and watch them to get up to speed.

I couldnt believe Tosh died. I figured Owen would leave for good considering he was dead(man walking) anyway. I didnt like Grey too much, his acting was for the birds. Overall, I wonder what kind of Capt Jack will we see in the Dr. Who finales.
DT is signed up for the four specials next year and season five the following year.
there's rumours that this guy http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0626362/ is tipped to take over when DT leaves eventually but personally I can't stand the guy and sincerely hope it is just a rumour. i'm not hiding this because it's just press speculation. and the british press just love to spread falseness. if anything I think whoever replaces DT should be younger. with as much nervous energy as DT. able to do the running.
as far as i know it's only the top three production staff changing. Phil Collinson, Julie Gardner and RTD. Steven Moffat steps in to take over from RTD as head writer and producer but I've no idea who is taking the other two positions.
I hope he doesnt, that guy looks like a tool
haha. that's pretty much my assessment too.
pics have started showing up for the week after next's episode 'midnight'. which has among its cast David Troughton, son of the 2nd Doctor Patrick Troughton. Although David has appeared before in a classic Who story. All they need do now is cast úrd Doctor Jon Pertwee's son Sean and i think they'd have done the father/child in Who thing.
Does anybody actually like JN?? And yet he's in everything! I don't think I could watch DW again if he does take over.
Just watched Silence in the Library. From the clips two weeks ago, I thought it looked to be the worst of the season, boy was I wrong. If rumors are correct, someone should reappear next week. I wonder who River Song is and how she knows of the Doctor.
I think I have it figured out. As in who the antagonist is. Where Dr. Moon fits in and what the story is with River Song. Plus the Nodes dealio.
The press release for episode 10 has been revealed so I know part of the ending but, I have a feeling there's a whole lot of twists in episode 9. The BBC let loose lots of info for episode 8 but have remained tight lipped about episode 9. The second preview clip for SITL was the entire pre titles sequence for example. yet the preview for next weeks episode was a mish mash and very vague.
Stackman Lux. Hmmmmm............
I am going to have to go to youtube and check next weeks trailer. Be Right Back......
Edit: Cant find the next part preview, only available in UK on BBC.com Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
