I finally got around to watching Knocked Up last night. Thought it was a great comedy flick.
I watched Resident Evil: Extinction last night. This movie was ok, enjoyable. Not as good as the other movies in the franchise, but still fun, with some great action and effects. This movie seemed more like a setup to a possible, and likely, 4th movie. By itself, it was much weaker than the others, but like I said, seemed like they did this one with the sole purpose of leading into the next installment; if that makes sense?!? I love Milla Jovovich, who is always great, and newcomer (to me anyways) Spencer Locke was pretty cute, I mean good too. This movie definitely had things going for it, but in the end I was disappointed - but like I said, I still enjoyed the movie. The very end sequence was pretty sweet. :)
BTW - Glad to hear you enjoyed There Will Be Blood GG. Daniel Day is a badass.
I watched The King of Kong: A Fistful of Quarters. I thought it was a great flick. Very recommended.
Agreed with 95% of what 2Gs said, TWBB was awesome ! Only thing I disagree with is that I thought No Country was a better movie overall, I just liked it more than Blood, but Day-Lewis is certainly Oscar worthy in this role. Amazing.
Last weekend I saw Juno and Rambo 4, loved them both.
Super Bowl XLII and a New York Football Giants Win!!!!!
Oer thelast couple of days I have watched EDTV, The Truman Show and White Men Cant Jump
Finished up two movies today.
Renaissance - Visually awesome, but a bit complicated. I started it the other night and was pretty tired, so that may have added to the plot confusion for me. Or maybe it was because it's a French movie (at least it was in English!)
Black Snake Moan is one I've wanted to see for a while now and I loved it. Sam Jackson once again proves how great he is as an actor. Christina Ricci was also great. She and Sam have great chemistry together and the best parts of the movie are the ones with just the two of them. I had no idea Justin Timberlake was in it and to my shock...he was surprisingly good as well.
BSM has been on my list for a while, too. I got the soundtrack and was surprised at how passable Samuel L was as a blues singer. He's not going to win any Handey Awards anytime soon, but he's not half bad.
