I think we heard the line of the season last night: I didn't see that coming.
I knew it was only a matter of time before Lee was killed off but I expected him to twist and turn in the breeze for a few more eps. Let's see how the murder investigation plays out.
And they killed Shrek! Man, I'm missing him already.
Let's see...the clubhouse blows up, perv corrections officers. Does this show get any better?!?
The issue of TV Guide with Elementary on the cover has an interesting short interview with Kurt Sutter in it. The crooked marshal storyline was supposed to go longer but Donal Logue is involved in the History Channel's Vikings TV show and needed to be in Europe filming so his SOA story arc was shortened. Would've liked to seen it go longer but the story threads will continue through this season.
No, I loved it when the retired Marshall was killed.
That needed to be done to show that you don't mess with the club.
Otto was a true soldier and Clay did the right thing for once.
I hope that the dead call-girl isn't used to twist Nero but I'm sure it will be.
Galen also needs to be killed. If Clay goes to Ireland, I wonder if he'll do it himself? Maybe because of the hits on the club or another one forthcoming, more personal.
Yeah, it was perverted, but Gemma has just a little decency left in her. She could have let the guards beat Clay.
Why did I feel sympathy for him? Oh, I guess because he got the shiv to Otto to take care of Lee.
'I've seen Smokey and the Bandit a thousand times.' What a great line, and for it to come from Tig was perfect!
Jax had a great speech at the big council meeting. Nice to see Bobby back in the fold, and now we know what he was up to.
Tara is painted into the corner. What's she gonna do?
Next week's ep looks INTENSE! The pivotal turning point? Have to tune in and see.
Three eps left this season.
I feel really bad for Jax.
He is trying so hard not to turn into Clay.
But Tara is turning into Gemma.
I like her, but she is making terrible choices and it's worse because she's not telling Jax what she's doing.
Tara has no right to be jealous of Jax sleeping with the escort girl if he thinks Tara is divorcing him.
If Tara has some secret agenda to remain linked romantically with Jax, then why is she divorcing him? If she has some kind of plan for her custody battle, Jax should be in on this.
It's her fault if he's straying now.
I was really surprised that Tara didn't just disappear after her attorney called and told her Jax knows everything. Jax would tie loose ends up in Charming with the Irish and then go look for Tara and the boys, but then it would've been a repeat of season 3 when the SOA went to Northern Ireland.
With the DA turning her down, I had the inkling that Tara might just go into the woods and off herself.
WOW, what an ep. That's all I'll say until everyone else can watch.
On a side note, my cable company switched over to Time Warner this summer. Since then, I've noticed more interruptions in recordings. Don't know why. There's no bad weather, but sometimes, like in the middle of a movie, or at the turning point in last night's ep, there's a break and it resumes as a new recording. Very frustrating.
Spoiler discussion follows..................
I was so glad to see Clay killed and that Jax did it. Clay was brave to face his fate. I'll give him that. But I think he believe Jax is his son, too.
I still think that's possible, as well.
Oh the irony.
Great episode taking down Galen, too.
The show seems like it could wrap up as a series now - or re-boot without restarting. I'd rather have the latter.
I love Sons of Anarchy.
