Well, I won an autographed copy of Carrie Underwoods latest CD! I told my story on the "Donate Life" site when they asked the first 20 respondants to tell why they thought being an organ donor is important to them. I ewas actually the 24th respondant, but they had a few extra copies laying around, so they are sending me one.
That's very cool Barry (that you were honored and appreciated as you should be!)
Now the other question would be: "Do you like Carrie Underwood?"
(I think she came out of American Idol but I've never sat through a whole show of that, so I wouldn't know.) She's a country singer, right?
Yes Josh, Carrie Underwood did come from American Idol, and she's drop dead georgeous (sp?) and I do like her music, she has a great voice. She is a country singer, and I like the newer country music. In fact there have been musical rock artists with country artists on one of the country stations my wife and I used to watch.
Wow, it got here in the mail today, the Carrie Underwood autographed CD. Very nice!
I have the surgery to correct my hernia tomorrow.
A hernia as I understand it is when your organs break through your inner body cavity wall. Where my hernia is, it is likely my instestine that is protruding.
On me, you can't actually see it very easily, but I feel it painfully.
The doctor operating on me (Chief of Surgery Dr. Marsh) is a kidney transplant specialist, but he's doing this basic surgery for me because he's taken care of me ever since BobaFrett and I had our intitial surgery. Dr. Marsh was the one who wore the Darth Vader shirt for my operation - the original "Dark Lord of the Surgery."
So I'm in good hands. But yeah, I'm writing about it because I'm still nervous. They have to put me to sleep and all that stuff. But it will only be for 1 hour and I go home after another hour or two following that.
I'll probably post tomorrow night if I feel like sitting up at the computer.
I'll be taking Percosette, my favorite oxycontin, for the pain. So I might post some interesting stuff while on drugs again. :D
I hope it goes/went well. I had hernia surgery when I was 9, and I got the Boss Nass and OOM-9 figures out of it, so it was all good. :D
Good luck tomorrow, Tycho!
How did they end up inside of you?

Boss Nass was in your hernia with OOM-9? Holy crap, that must've hurt!
