Ha! That's awesome about the bottle. Funny that they trucked it out to Los Angeles to shoot the scene, very slick.
I really enjoyed the ending episode, it really felt like an Elmore Leonard story, starting with big violence and then lots of Raylan being angry and making deals with the devil, giving Nicky 1 chance knowing he won't take it. The only parts that felt off to me were Cassie showing up out of the blue for the bust, and Ava kicking the lackey out of the van to destroy the body alone. Everything else was deliberate and driven, ending in Raylan fixing up his family home and staring at his gravestone sitting next to his father's freshly dug plot.
I thought the season came full circle: it started at Arlo's house (with the copper stealing) and ended at Arlo's.
Have a feeling that a lot of next season's focus will be on Ava's court issue.
Definitely, and it ended with Raylan patching the holes made from stealing the copper even. But what does that say about Raylan, the angry man?
The song in the final few minutes summed it up: you don't leave Harlan County.
I have to say I can't believe Arlo is going to be gone?!
He was a fun character and a way to really show part of why Raylan tries so hard to distinguish himself as a different man from his father.
Arlo was so necessary in Raylan's character development.
