Re: Famous People You've Met (merged)

I met the Bloodhound Gang on two seperate occasions, both at Clutch Cargo, a sweet concert venue in Pontiac, MI (about 20 min. north of Detroit).
It's a blacked-out blur but I'm pretty sure it ruled.

When I first got out of the Marines, I worked as a stone mason's apprentice in San Clemente, CA (and unfortunately never met Stevie Nicks even though I lived nearly at the border of her property). The mason I worked for was dating Lani O'Grady (Mary of "Eight is Enough" for those of you old enough to remember it). She brought him lunch one day and I was introduced to her. She said hello with a huge hug that made me think she was a flake until I matured enough to realize that she was just a very affectionate person.

About two years later I was driving a truck in Fontana (also CA) and one of the other truck driver's (Bill) had a step daughter who was dating David Keith. Bill went to the hospital for open heart surgery and his daughter came to the hospital with Keith. After the surgery, Keith was grilling the Doctor about how the Doc did his job (he actually asked the Doctor if he made sure the stitches were tight). I actually pitied him for what seemed to me to be him feeling that he had to stand up and represent everyone. He made himself look kind of silly, but I guess I can understand his feeling like he needed to do something. We all did.

Oh, yeah. This doesn't count as actually meeting someone...but I got punked for a girl in Hawaii by Tom Selleck. She broke a date with me to go out on one with him. Her loss

Oh man! That is actually awesome! I'd be telling everyone about that!

Anyway, while she isn't famous anywhere but my area, last week at work I waited on the local news milf.

On vacation with my family to NY this past week, we went to the Hello Deli and met Rupert Jee, from the Late Show with David Letterman. It was pretty cool, and he was very nice.

I got a Letterman sandwich and a cherry Frozen Fruit Whippy.

I too met Rupert several years ago (had the Paul Schaffer). About 5 years ago I was in Las Vegas and who walked out of the Hard Rock Casino? Dennis Rodman, later in the day we were at Caesar's Palace (no not that Caesar's Palace ) everybody there was excited and we found out Rodman was there. We of course didn't think it was that big of a deal since we saw him a few hours earlier. That night on the news there was a report that Rodman was AWOL from the LA Lakers and was spotted in Vegas.

While I didn't get to meet her in person, I attended a speech at a college by Sandra Day O'Conner last week. She was pretty funny!
