It's a little of both. You can control the whole army RTS-style or take command of a single squad, a la Rainbow Six.
I hope this one gets ported to PC...

I've never played that. I guess it's good that it was cancelled for PC and went to Xbox...

No. They wanted to call it "Dark Forces 3" just because it had a similar gameplay style to JK.
