Gotta say that I like the Konamis a lot... I agree with almost every point you make, Blue2th. Some better, some worse. Shame that the Furuta Ent A sucks so much!

Konami's Alien collection was great, too. Their Narcissus, Nostromo, Dropship, and Sulaco are among my favourites.

Looks like they didn't install lifepods on the E... not much detail at all. Somewhat inaccurate but acceptable to me. I'm glad they didn't do a JL move and give them giant "phasers", marmalade damage, or cheesey nacho dippings, though.

Most of these ships apparently have a slightly pearlescent coating so I'd guess they'll look quite different than the Furutas and most JLs on the shelf.

Shame the guy who took the pics didn't have the JLs! Still, the comparisons are kewl to see...

The JLs are probably still the best overall but it's fun to build up the home fleet. The aztec-ing on the JLs has not been matched here, sadly.

The Konami TOS and A Enterprises look almost identical...

I have one other Enterprise B that's just slightly larger than the Furuta one... it used to be attached to an orange blob of resin that's supposed to be the Nexus... it's from Generations and had a number on the base. Pic below... you can pick it up for $10-15 on eBay.

The Konamis are all pretty good, IMHO... I'll be picking up the 6-pack... I even like the emblem on the battlecruiser's bottom. They do seem a bit short of detail in some places but they're unique enough for me.

In volume 2, I hope they do the "C" and some ships that haven't already been done by everybody else...

Yup, pretty much a consesus on the assesment DT. All good ships, especially the Cruiser.

You'd think they would at least make that "B" an Excelsior. (the Furuta Excelsior is micromachine size and a major dissapointment)

The "E" Furuta used to be very hard to get as a chase vehicle, and was going for around $60 at one time, so that one could be good to snag for those who don't want to pay that much.

Overall some good offerings, but if you already have these in something as good or better well...

I can't wait for the movie to come out so we can get some new ships!

I'm trying to think of some that weren't done, and most I think could be made from "Enterprise" like a Vulcan Cruiser (well we got the Hallmark one at least) or even some of the Klingon ships. Better yet Commander Shran's Andorian Cruiser, some Zendi ships or a Doomsday weapon.
"First Contact" Vulcan ship is one at least.

I need to check out those other "Aliens" ships. I have the Sulaco and I really like it.

Man, I've totally run out of interest on these. They don't look as detailed to me as the Furutas, the E is the worst on the underside. And it's really the same stuff over and over again, the only one that I find impressive is the TMP Klingon D7.

2 wouldn't require new tooling: McCoy could be made from Kirk; Terrel in EV suit could be made from Chekov (if they make Chekov).

But Diamond doesn't like waves with 3 new sculpts, 1 re-use. They prefer 3-re-uses and 1 new sculpt for their business model.

That must be why the DS9 waves don't yet have Kira in her normal Bajoran uniform or Quark or Gul Dukat yet.

Was on vacation to Vegas thi slast week. Finally went to Star Trek The Experience. Pretty cool setup. Nice attraction.

The Store was very nice, had ALL the latest figures out. I gotta say that Uhura, Spock, and Away Kirk look great! The thing that puzzles me is that there was NO Saavik! TONS of figures but no female vulcans for some reason. Anyways, I got a cool Kirk shirt.
