sorry for the OT post....

Ames has some die-cast WWII planes about the same scale as Battle Squads, just a touch larger. They're sold under the brand Air Signatures, I'm pretty sure. The detail is close to the Battle Squads planes. The cockpit has a decently detailed pilot molded into the seat. They had a pretty goos assortment - Focke-Wulf, P51, P38, and a couple others for which I don't recall the model designations. They also appear to have 2 separate stands, one that's an inch or less tall and one that's similar to the AF stands.

The downside is they're $15 each. At $10, I'd have probably snagged one of each. At $15, I'm not sure. But I just wanted to let y'all know about them in case anyone has an Ames and collects WWII planes.
