I don't like it,
but I won't squeeze Steve's shoes over it. We've talked about it before, they know we don't like it so I'm sure it's done out of strict financial necessity.

It's not as bad as some sites. I know some sites that actually spawn multiple new windows to try to sell you stuff. This may not actually be Sir Steve's fault though. Remeber that SSG is part of a larger company, and he has said in the past that they are the ones that work out the advertising deals.

I just think a lot of sites have been doing just fine without pop ups. All pop ups do is make people want to come to the site less, and if that happens neither the site, or whatever it's promoting gets viewed.Pop ups suck, I agree with that, but sirsteves has to have sponsors to keep this site running. Ads in and of themselves are fine, and I see the needs. Pop ups...are a little too blatant in my opinion, and unecessary.
