Hey,
Maybe I'm crazy but I want some info on Gilligan's island characters. I need help wit what I put in parenthesis:
*First mate - (Name) Gilligan
*Skipper - Jonas Grumby
*The Millionaire - Thurston Howell III
*His wife - (Name)
*The movie star - Ginger Grant
*The professor - (Name) Hinkley
*Mary Ann Saunders
Any help here would be hot.

IMDB is rife with errors and misinformation since almost anybody can alter listings. Currently, it only lists Lovey Howell as "Mrs. Howell".


Stormie, those are the correct names, though Gilligan's first name has been debated for nearly 40 years. There's "Willie Gilligan", "Gilligan Gilligan", and a 3rd one as well that escapes me.

envy - Mary Ann (of Ginger's looks)
anger - Skipper (at Gilligan)
gluttony - Mr. Howell

sloth - ?
lust - ?
covetousness - ? (plus, I always thought this one was just "envy x2")

I could possibly shoehorn Gilligan into "sloth", but it seems pretty thin to me.

Pride=Professor (pride in smarts)
Envy=Mary Ann (of Ginger)
Anger=Skipper (at Gilligan)
Glutton=Skipper (yea)

Ok, that's... pretty thin.

BTW, the Professor fixed the hole in the boat in the very first episode (well, not the VERY first episode, that was the original unaired pilot with music by John Williams and 2 different girls rather than Ginger and Mary Ann), but because they all trusted the strange tree-rubber that Gilligan found, it didn't work out when the rubber turned to dust after a few days. Unfortunately, Skipper and the Professor had used Gilligan's rubber to patch the other holes in the boat and reseal all the wood as well, so when the rubber decayed, the entire boat fell apart and thus, no more boat.
