Once again this is proof that Hollywood has no freaking clue what it's doing.

All she needs now is some handcuffs and nipple clamps.

You all know I love Halle Barry to death, but WTF?!?!? I really, really hope this is a hoax no way does that costume do her any justice. She looks more like a porno star in that! I probably won't go see that movie!

DC, are you really so hard up for money that you'd sell your characters away to become S&M models? Try hiring good writers and artists instead. (Sorry, I'm a bit miffed that the Superman comics have utterly sucked for the past 4 months).
Actually, DC is owned outright by Warner Brothers, and they actually have very little control over the film versions of their own characters - exactly why they have such a hard time getting these projects together, and getting them done right. I'm sure DC would love to actually be in control of these things - I'm certain they'd give Marvel a serious run for their money if they did!

Don't give up on Supes just yet either - there are MAJOR creative shakeups in store for the Man of Steel this coming year, what with Jim Lee and Jeph Loeb taking over the main book, and a host of top notch writers and artists for the rest of the titles!
By the way, there are actually a good number of great books coming out of DC of late (a lot more than Marvel has goin' for 'em!). Might I recommend the following for a great read: JSA, Batman, Flash, Gotham Central, Green Arrow, Dr. Fate, Fables, Wildcats 3.0, Hawkman, Teen Titans, Outsiders, Sleeper, Empire, Legion, Superman: Birthright, Brids of Prey, Greg Rucka's new Wonder Woman just started up and should be great, Formerly Known as the Justice League, Arkham Asylum: Living Hell, H-E-R-O, and Superman/Batman.

After seeing the picture, I'm surprised they didn't ask Jenna Jameson to play the role.

Well that is good news. I was about to dump some of my Superman titles. I really can't stand some of the new stuff that's been added (Traci 13, the "new" Supergirl, the female Steel Natasha, a street talking Kelex, Superman's new uber powerful abilities). But with Lee and Loeb there may be some hope.

And yeah, I'm a sucker for DC. Of your list I read JSA, Batman, Flash, Dr. Fate, Fables, Hawkman, Teen Titans, Outsiders, Legion, Superman: Birthright, Formerly Known as the Justice League, H-E-R-O, and Superman/Batman. I even like the new Aquaman even though a lot of people have been trashing on it.

A bit more info on the movie. It gets worse with every piece of info that comes out. It's sad that they couldn't even use Bastet, an actual Egyptian Cat Goddess.
"Patience Price, a mild mannered graphic artist, is murdered in order to keep her silent about an accidental discovery she has made. An ancient myth is played out when an Egyptian Mao cat, indebted to Patience for saving its own life, breathes life back into the young woman. Patience is reborn with an independent attitude, carefree behavior and the heightened senses of a cat. Now she must investigate the circumstances behind her murder and learn to accept both parts of herself."

Oops, I actually meant to say that it'll be Brian Azzarello writing Supes as opposed to Loeb. Should be just as good, if not better, though! Loeb actually wrote Superman for a few years or so just recently to good effect though.

By the way, I've actually been enjoying the new Aquaman also! I've loved all of the new elements Rick Veitch has brought to the mythos. Although, the most recent issues have been a bit out there. Also, while it's made for some pretty good reading, I'm not so sure it was wise for him to have taken just about Aquaman's only serious adversary - Black Manta - and rehabilitated him. Afterall, a good hero is made by his villains, and Aquaman has always had so precious few.

More terrible news from the bastard daugher of a Catwoman film. From Superhero Hype:
A VERY interesting scoop for you today. I'm working on the set of Catwoman in Vancouver, and we've just recieved the shooting details for the near future, for pre-prep work. There are a couple things that are very interesting:

1). Hedare Cosmetics has a funny connection to Bruce Wayne. It seems he was trying to close the company down, but it didn't happen (I'm not sure on the specifics). Laurel Hedare & Bruce Wayne are two very rich people, apparently. While Bruce doesn't make an appearance, his name IS quoted by Laurel herself: Laurel is played by Sharon Stone. And to clear up rumors she has been wonderful on set.

2). Halle Berry's Catwoman suit has gone through minor changes, though nothing too drastic...there's still the mask, though it looks much better than the photo WB released. I still don't understand why they released that, but the mask has been slightly modified from the version in that photo. The costuming wasn't completely talored-fit for Halle.

3). Catwoman does a LOT of scratching.

Also, WB previously requested to see some 'very' rough footage of a few things that have been previously shot. They are being very supportive, yet careful of this project, and are working closely w/ the production. We sent them over a 15 minute reel of footage, and they gave us the thumbs up.

And just when you thought it couldn't get any crappier. We get news that we're going to get a photo-realistic CGI cat that Catwoman can psychically communicate with. Yay....pardon me while I go vomit. Why didn't they just hire the Salem puppet cat from Sabrina the Teenage Witch.
Tippet Studios has announced that they have been hired by Warner Bros. to create one of the upcoming movie's most complicated effects a photorealistic CGI cat that can somehow mystically communicate with Halle Berry's title character. The order from Warner Bros. is that this mystic CGI animal needs to look completely realistic when surrounded by other cats.
