First version of "The Star Wars" script

Hi all,
maybe you already know, but I just recently found on the net the first version of the script originally wrote by George Lucas for "The Star Wars"!

You can find it in the Guy Lagace site.

I once read the Star Wars script was written in different versions before becoming the saga we know, and now I had the possibility to read it, thanks to aldera.net.

It looks like this script was refused by a lot of movie producers, and I understand why: this version is quite bloody, it seems a Shakesperian tragedy, more than a novel about light and dark side of the force.

But it is very funny to discover the evolution of characters and ideas from this early attempt to the final Star Wars universe.

P.S. An example of what you can find in the script: the first version of "May the force be with you" is "May the force of others be with you". Quite ugly, isn't it?

Definately the best film of the year.

I first read the books when I was 14 and have read them a further 4 times in the following 18 years.

All that I can say is that Peter Jackson has PERFECTLY captured Middle Earth on celluloid - it was BRILLIANT!!!!

And some of the special effects are honestly breath taking.

GO AND SEE IT - you will NOT be disappointed.
