    Ewok Movies On DVD

I have been looking for the Ewok movies on Laserdisc when I came across these articles:

The second link at the bottom said it was a prank but I would like the real scoop on it.

Does anyone know if they ever released it & if so where I might could find them? I am trying to get all my VHS Star Wars stuff digitized & have so far gotten each movie from OT (Original OT, OT THX, OT SE) to SWEI on digital media.

I dont have any version of this movie but if a DVD is available I would rather have it than a laserdisc.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

The Ewok movies are not on DVD. Any copies available would be bootlegs, burned from the laserdisc versions. But Rick McCallum said that Lucasfilm will release the Ewok movies on DVD in the future. Likely after E3 and the OT finally make their way to DVD. Here's what he said on the Official Star Wars website, in the Ask the Jedi Council section.

Q: Any chance the two Ewok movies or the Ewoks and Droids cartoon series will be released on DVD?

    A: I hope so. Definitely.

At some point after we're finished with Episode III, we'd really like to make all of that material available to our fans on DVD.

I cannot wait for these movies to reach the shinny disks!!! I think they're great !

With there being a large gap between the next Star Wars DVD (No more until Ep3 in 2005), I think LucasFilm should bridge the gap with one of the Ewok Movies each year. That would be cool ! They don't have to be packed with Special Features like the propper movies .

Man! I HAVE to dig out my VHS copies of those films. Between all the threads we've started on the films and the article in the INSIDER, I really miss seeing these!
