The Cars are fun and cool. Most people don't know they had their first hits in the 70's and they're not your typical New Wave 80's band but rather were one of the bands at the start of New Wave scene in the US before it really took off.
Recently we got a keyboardist and my band started doing "Bye bye love" "I like the night life" "She's a lot like you" we plan on doing a couple more too along with a whole New Wave set we're already doing. The Cars songs always pack the dance floor.

It's kinda funny. He also had to tweak the knobs on those old un-programmable synthesizers by hand, as the technology was in it's infancy then. I'm guessing with modern programming skills I'm sure he's evolved into doing these days he can program all the keys parts and even the percussion instruments he's playing in that old video. He could then play the bass without distraction. Unless they have a fill in guy back on the keys? Tough shoes to fill either way.
