I just heard about this tonight, but apparently, millions of people are eligible for a refund on any music purchased during a certain time.
It seems that some major music companies were conspiring to raise the cost of prerecorded music. They now must pay quite a substantial amount of money to those who bought the CD's and tapes. I guess the refunds will range from $5 to $20, depending on how many people file a complaint. So, I guess I probably shouldn't be telling anyone this .
I guess if too many people file a complaint, they'll give the money to charities or something. And that's fine, as long as someone gets it. But, heck, after getting ripped on a few CD's here and there, I wouldn't mind an extra $20 in my pocket.
