I realized yesterday that I had not really listened to Bad hair Day very much, because as I had it on, I didn't recognize many of the songs. This got me to thinking, in a list sort of way (Really, Bel-Cam? You? Lists? Unbelievable. ), what your favorite WAY albums are? Here's the list, minus singles and compilation ones:

    Weird Al Yankovic
    In 3-D
    Dare to Be Stupid
    Polka Party
    Even Worse
    UHF soundtrack
    Alapalooza
    Off the Deep End
    Bad Hair Day
    Running With Scissors
    Poodle Hat

How would I rank them? Well...

    1. In 3-D
    2. Weird Al Yankovic
    3. Even Worse
    4. Dare to Be Stupid
    5. UHF soundtrack
    6. Off the Deep End
    7. Poodle Hat
    8. Alapalooza
    9. Running With Scissors
    10. Polka Party
    11. Bad Hair Day

I notice a trend. Al's earliest ones seem to be at the top, while the current ones fir in the middle or end. I guess "Weird Al" Yankovic must be finished! Washed up! A has-been! I wonder how many times he's been labeled that way, and he keeps coming back. I usually like listening to them in big time parts, start with one CASSETTE TAPE and just keep flipping each side over, until I've been immersed in The Weird for hours. However, I've been listening to just one at a time lately, so maybe that's what's tainted my rankings.

Whoo-hoo! Weird Al is coming to the Puyallup Fair this year in September! Maybe I'll have to pick up a couple of tickets...

Apparently the Mecca of Albino Squirrels, Poodle Dog Rock, the Boll Weevil Monument, the Tupperware Museum, Cranberry World, and the place where you can drive through the middle of a tree all exist as well! (But you'll have to do your own searching for those.)

So there really is a Twine Ball Inn?! And the guy who rolled the ball died one day after Weird Al's birthday in 1989. I wonder when someone will sell the Spatula City billboard near Broken Arrow, OK on eBay!
As for other strange-but-true Weird Al details, I heard that there really is a guy named Bob-something who sings even worse (Close Personal Friends of Al will recognize that) than Al did on his "Poodle Hat" CD! But I doubt that. No one could be THAT bad!

I remember once when driving cross-country (either to or from college, I disremember which), I saw the Spatula City sign and almost wrecked I was laughing so hard.

I knew they were because in the AL IN THE BOX box set book that comes with it, when talking about the song he says they are real places and even when listening to the song I knew I had heard of some of them somewhere.
No matter how I die, even if there is a suicide note; it was murder. Cheers!
