having just recently read both shadowhunter and cloak of deception i'm a bit confused with continuity. in what order did shadowhunter, the novella about dorvalla at the end, and cloak occur. if you haven't read these books and don't want to have anything given away stop here. maul kills hath monchar in shadowhunter, yet he's alive for the events in cloak. maul sabotages the mining companies on dorvalla causing them to merge and ship via trade federation in the novella. in cloak the mining companies have already merged into dorvalla mining. thus my confusion about sequencing of events, anybody got an idea (aside from bashing continuity in SW universe or EU in general)? thoughts esteemed mods?

storyline wise...Cloak comes first then Shadow Hunter, then Phantom menace....Cloak = months b4 TPM....Shadow Hunter = Weeks/Days b4 TPM, then TPM....

So, in a certain way, some parts of both books are concurrent, just in different parts of the galaxy. Just like most of the SW films.

Well, the way they wrote the books, timeline wise....After the movie came out...they went and made a "background" story for all those involved and how they tied in to each other....So Cloak of Deception was made to show how Vallorum was already having problems and why he was so easily voted out of office...Shadow HUnter just added more to Darth Maul's Character then we saw TPM. After TPM, they wrote ROgue Planet to show a beginning bond between Obi and Anakin and some glimplse into Anakin's future powers. Then they wrote Approaching Storm to tie into AoTC and the Planet in the Book is even mentioned in the movie by Mace. So its all continuity and Background info.....i think

shadowhunter refers to maul's handling of black sun, is that detailed in a comic somewhere?

Darth Maul Handles Black Sun in DarkHorses' Star Warsarth Maul......in Shadow Hunter, he Takes care of one of the Nemoidions who is missing and tryin 2 sell the info of the blockade to others...Darth Sidious Dispatches Lord Maul to take care of that matter and all who have come in contact with him.
