I've seen things that make less sense printed on Japanese toy boxes. I'd guess it's part "cube-brick" and part a name recognition thing to do with Stanley Kubrick. Nothing could be more Japanese than using a "western" sounding name just because it looks cool on a box. I wouldn't spend too much time trying to make literal sense of it.

I really enjoy Stanley Kubrick's films, but his action figures are silly.

If he releases a new line of "Eyes Wide Shut" Kubricks.
    I wouldn't buy those either.

Although I must admit, "A Clockwork Orange" Kubricks wouldn't be
    a bad idea.

But I only collect Star Wars figures.

Lolita Kubricks! Ooops, did I say that out loud?

But seriously, Brian's has to be the most expensive place around for these things! I can buy an un-opened box of 12 Bounty Hunter's from ebay for $90.00-$100.00! Plus with the box of 12 at least you get a CHANCE to find a Boba chase figure.

I have seen individual Bounty Hunter Kubricks on ebay for $6.50 each! Howabout 3 pack sets for $20.00!!! Brian's?!?! What a rip off! Check these out:

Seems a lot more reasonable if you ask me.

Hey Turbo, If your asking about Frank and Sons I was there today and one booth did have the Bounty Hunters, but they wanted $10 ea (too much if you ask me). But that was it, I couldn't find anymore there at all..

Nice! Thanks for that pic OCB. That's pretty cool, it shows how great these Kubricks really are (IMO anyways).

As you can see by this pic, there really is no comparison between Kubricks and Lego's.....

    Great photo OCB!
Darth Vader is becoming the Mickey Mouse of Star Wars.

The use of a lightsaber does not make one a Jedi, it is the ability to not use it.

That is super! Seeing the scale of these, I guess they're about the size of the Minimates from ArtAsylum. They're making Marvel figures like this over there, and I had thought until seeing this pic they were the size of the lego figures. The bounty hunters look great!

Question: How is this any different than letting a company make 6 inch scale figures a la Toy Biz Marvel Legends or Lord of Rings?
