The main page of the OS: In the window for the Webcam, it says that Ewan visits the droid factory (or whatever they call it). Anyway, it shows Ewan w/ his Obi beard and behind him a tech is working on the Gold 3PO.

Mini SPY REPORT!
At 17h22 Anthony Daniels stepped into a webcam shot wearing the "junk" Threepio costume!!!
I believe this was in the "scanning" room. A piece of large yellow and red machinery passed before the camera several times as Mr. Daniels stood there and changed positions a couple times.
Will the "junk" Threepio be seen at the start of the film? Was this costume used for the scanning process only because it is not as highly reflective as the gold costume?

By "junk", I assume you mean AOTC costume? Maybe he will get his gold coverings later, so the Empire/Anakin wouldn't recognize him? The possibilities, I suppose, are endless . . .
