This came out of SirStevesGuide.com being there for you at Comic Con.
Guys, it's not all Hasbro's fault. They have the product ready to go. They will sell it to their retailers (Hasbro's customers). They have to have large purchasers like Wal*Mart, Toys R Us, and Target in order for enough quantities to be bought to cover their costs of tooling the steel molds and contracting the labor to make the figures in the first place.
The reason you're only finding more stuff at price-gouging online retailers, and a good quantity of fair-priced online stores. It is because they are ordering $5,000 or more worth of product that Hasbro requires its direct customers to buy, in order to spend the $25,000 or more to produce the toys to begin with. Everybody likes a guarantee. Meanwhile the major discount retailers are not ordering.
Well, here's my garauntee: it will take you less time to print the letters I post below and stick 37 cent stamps on them and drop them in the mail, than the average amount of time you guys spend each week whining about things in the forums here.
Put your money and your will where your mouth is. You want figures to come to your stores? Then I challenge you to do something about it!
This is the SirStevesGuide.com Distribution Letter Writing Campaign (DLWC for short) which we have no idea what benefits might develop from it.
DON'T COUNT ON SOMEONE ELSE TO MAIL A LETTER! - Do it yourself.
If I see ANY whining in these forums I will immediately ask that person if they've sent their letters to the retailers yet. You guys should do the same and proudly post when you've sent them in your signatures!
Here are the letters: make sure the correct ones are addressed on the envelopes going to the correct stores.
JUST DO IT!
May the Force be with you.
