Kind of like that idea. Be interesting to see how it turns out.

So, put pics of the "Prototype" figure up at the ActionFigs.com Database...

...and got a good look at the Mark 01 suit, and Iron Monger with "Fist Smash" (or whatever it's called) tonight as well. I'm probably going to just have to admit that the Mark 03 is a dog, but I like the rest. Though I didn't buy it (yet), the Mark 01 looks really fun in person, and so does the Iron Monger figure... though I'll probably hold out for the "Opening Cockpit" version.

Okay, here's my review of the Iron Man "Mark 03" figure...

Anyone else open any of these toys yet?

i would open them if i had the time to find them, or the money to buy them if i found them, or they were in stores near me yet since i'm in NY and that's apparently the butt-end of the toy distribution chain.

i'll be opening them in about half a year, i suspect.

Let speculation begin:

Some excerpts:

Hasbro has stated that their marketing department has decided NOT to move forward on either of these lines [HML4 & Icons 5 & 6] as they were previously solicited.
THEY DID NOT SAY ANYTHING SPECIFIC ABOUT EITHER OF THE LINES BEING CANCELLED IN THEIR ENTIRETY.

I wouldn't be surprised to see this line cancelled.

I'll just cross my fingers and hope that Hasbro is looking to re-invent this line a little. Maybe try to win back a few of the fans (including me) that they've lost since taking ML over.

I can't see them dumping the line entirely, but who knows. The Marvel film lines may be enough for them right now... it's not like they don't have enough of them going.

I figure personally that Hasbro is either going to completely change up the line such that it is radically different than previous MLs (different scale/style etc.), or they're just going to go with movie stuff. I can't be optimistic enough to assume things are going to get better. They probably figure ML's performance justifies going completely with 5" scale. You know, because that's the problem.

It's not cancelled. As the Incredible Hulk ML series is still going forward.

It's probably more with the fact that Marvel's Jesse Falcon is working with Hasbro now, and they're tweaking some things. We know Beast already went back for resculpting from that series. So we'll hopefully hear something at NYCC or SDCC.

Jesse Falcon's also teased a 3 3/4" line for this year also. Due to the high cost of oil, I can almost see them going with that scale as the 'Main Line' and keeping Marvel Legends as a wave or 2 a year instead. Much like how it used to be under Toy Biz.

With the Legends line getting set back, DCU becoming a hot ticket item and the prospect of a new larger Falcon I think Hell is about to freeze over for toy collectors. Now if Hasbro rereleases the USS Flag, I'll crap my pants and lock myself in my basement.

$6.99 for a 3 3/4 inch Star Wars figure, with so many Star Wars collectors paying this kind of scratch for one figure and the cost of gas for driving from store to store, I can see why our econmy is in a slump!
