Hmmm, that's weird. I wonder if they just decided to change the inner bubble halfway through the production run. We've seen that before, with a couple figures. Not very often is the packaging change so different though. Curious...hard to see, the reason is.

Or they wanted to show off the new articulation.. I think they could've picked some better poses though.
Oh well. The second one I think looks much more cool, he needs to be all over the bubble, not just in a small chunk of it.

Probably trying to get their moneys worth ... carding it two ways sells more figures to collectors. (Kind of sucks, even I'd be tempted to buy both versions to keep carded.)

Yeah, but in this case they don't need to. It's an army builder figure. They could package him sitting down, or looking through it's legs and it would still sell like hotcakes.
