If you are referring to the Kubrick line then no I dont believe its supposed to be removable.

My Boba from the Kubrick bounty hunter series helmet does slide off of the head, but there is a plain mini marshmallow looking head. In oither words, there is no facem kind of like the Lego Stormtroopers. I guess you could make a custom Fett face, but the helmet fits rather snuggly to the head, so Im not sure if you would lose any detail should you decide to paint a face on, then put the helmet back on.
