Turns out those custom parts for Energon Superion I posted about awhile back were from fansproject.. the people behind the city commander armor. That is a good thing.

Even more from fansproject. There is a "Protector" upgrade set in the works to convert Classics Rodimus to Rodimus Prime. And they are working up some original figures, with a Springer-like,three Junkions types, and an original combiner called Glacialbot. The combiner's individual bots have animal alt-modes, but in the G1 style, not Beast Wars.(EDIT: Forgot there was a "Broadside" too.) Pics of what I guess are concept images in this gallery:

Seibertron also has an interview with someone from FP, which also has more pictures.

    All Hail Darth Schmitsky!

That's kinda clever! I would need to see more pics. But man, these guys are just nailing all these cool ideas lately. That Roddy one could be a real looker.
Darth Vader is becoming the Mickey Mouse of Star Wars.

If I can find out how to download pics from my phone, I'll show you the ROTF Robot Heroes I saw today at Target for $6.99. (I'm assuming the street date hasn't arrived yet, but I didn't buy them. Some red dude named Mudflap looks ridiculously stupid.)
    Tommy, close your eyes.

WOW, why isn't there a fans project group for Star Wars?

Oh forgot about that! It is indeed clever, and would totally push me over into buying it if I could afford to do so.

If anyone cares, I saw more ROTF Robot Heroes at Target yesterday. I've now seen them at the Arlington Rd store in Riverside and the Nason Rd store in Moreno Valley, if anyone cares to get them and is nearby.

If anyone cares, ROTF Leader class Prime and Preview deluxe Bumblebee and Soundwave are available for preorder starting this Friday at "several major online retailers and specialty shops". I assume that would include Hasbro Toy Shop.

I'm not going to pre-order the Transformers. They'll be available everywhere I'm sure. And that way I'll see them first, plus not pay shipping.

BumbleBee's upgrade is cool (with the shoulder cannons), and I'll likely get the LC Prime (it's really good from videos I've already seen).

I don't know what I'm going to do with the Decepticons. As usual, I want to get them in scale - or as close as possible.

From the first movie, I only have Premium LC Megatron, LC Brawl, Deluxe Barricade (with Frenzy), and Deluxe Scorponok.

I did not want to buy Starscream, Bonecrusher, or Blackout unless I get them in at least a LC size. Just because the first movie is over, doesn't mean Hasbro won't be doing older movie characters that have not yet been made. A LC Starscream of course has a shot at production for this movie (ROTF). And I so want Blackout. But Bonecrusher would also be very cool.

I wait with anticipation to see what they might do with the Constructicons. Maybe down the road there will be 7 of them that transform AND combine? I'll hold out hope. I may be able to pay a lot more than parents and kids will for that, but so can so many people here on this site (adult toy collectors). There is a market for it. Maybe Takara/Tomy will have to offer it.
