    Sideswipe - Red
Dead End - black (looks very cool)

    Smokescreen - blue
    Silverstreak - blue

    Hound - green
Swindle - tan (or maroon would work though be non-traditional)

Tracks - blue (traditional and appropriate)
??? - Yellow (Yes? I've heard this) Could be cool for Dragstrip (stunticon)

    Grimlock - white
???? - will they use his mold for someone else? Wildrider or Breakdown?

    Meister - white...
Silverstreak is silver, Swindle is yellow, and Grimlock is silver. These are done deals, or am I not understanding your list?

    The car choices, too...

    Dodge Viper
    Subarua ???
    Jeep Wrangler
    Ford Mustang
    Chevy Corvette
    Honda?

    What is Meister anyway?
Subaru WRC (Smokescreen) and WRX (Silverstreak). Honda S2000, and I gather Swindle is going to be a Rubicon. Meister/Jazz is a Mazda RX-8.

    Porshe? - 911, Carerra
Neither are terribly current vehicles I think, maybe a Cayenne, that's all I can think of that's new from them and not just more of the same ol'.
    Ferrari? - Testarosa, F-40, Boxer
Again, not terribly current, and I think you mean "Boxter" which is the Porsche. Ferrari 360 Modena would be awesome.
    Lamborghini? - Countach, Diablo
Countach is over, Diablo is retired, so I guess the Murcielago and that other one, neither of which look as good as their predecessors.
    BMW? - ???
    Z4 & the 645Ci are their coolest cars I think, though I'd take a Z8 as well.
    Mercedes? SL-50 convertable
They have a sportier car than that too, I think.
Hummer? - H2 - should have been Grimlock right here, but Ironhide?
Ugh, no H2s please, just the classic H1. BTW, you can put AM General's Hummer under Chevy since that's who is making/selling the civilian ones.
    Plymouth Voyager? - Ratchet, Ironhide
Minivans? I'd take SUVs but please, no Minivans.
Volkswagon - Beetle or Golf - Bumblebee, Cliffjumper
    Golf?!?
    Ford F-350 - Kup?
I'd rather have the Chevy SSR.

PF, I am pretty sure that's the "Storm" European version. From what I've read, these were marketed in Europe in several different ways, sometimes turbomasters, sometimes cannonmasters, sometimes Rotorstorm and sometimes just Storm. I think the reasoning for putting this into G2 is because in the US, G1 ended in '90 and in Europe the releases were very confused.

KAK, he also looks kinda funked from angles I think.

Yeah, exactly, that's a pic of the European version. I'd just as soon call it a G2 figure also, but it doesn't much matter since I'll probably never own either the European or Machine Wars versions. (Fugly colors!)

Saw TFU Whirl today at Target BTW, and it's OK -- a much better color scheme than past versions for sure.

"Rotorstorm" is also a Euro/Canada release. Very confusing.

Well, European G2 packaging said G2 on it.. so technically it is G1.. ah, but who cares really?

I was too lazy to look back and see. Oh well, it was worth looking at again!

Did we ever talk about Energon combiners in package?

    Re: Transformers: Energon & Beyond

I have the pics saved to my HD and look at them every once in a while, I do that with most of the TFs out there (but not SW for some reason). Any comments about it or replies to the stuff I said? I'm surprised how lukewarm the reception has been for this S2000 Alternator.

No, I don't think we have talked about E's combiners in packaging. I have heard on another board that the gestalt limb recolors will be released a wave after the originals, which I find so stupid I cannot tell you.

    Re: Transformers: Energon & Beyond

I doubt those people know more than rumors.. the listing for whatever assortment those will be in haven't been released yet, as far as I know.

I think the S2000, who I will refer to as Overdrive untill it is named, is pretty damn cool. I like his gun.

I like how they are handling the Gestaults on the back package.

BTW, I noticed the other day that TFU Fireflight is out too.

    Re: Transformers: Energon & Beyond

Well, I hope the rumors are false, I want 'em all at the same time.

Yeah, ok, I see how the head looks like the G1 omnibot Overdrive, so provided we don't have another Sunstreaker/Dead End situation, I think that's a fair guess. Overdrive had a small gun and a flying mode though, so I'm not going to rename all those photos in my computer "Overdrive" just yet.

I agree with you on the gestalt packaging back, it does look pretty neat. I guess these will be blue-cog combiners, it's on the packaging that way, I suppose the blue ties in with the blue energon parts. Stormjet packaged looks a little like Scorponok's jet mode, especially at the "wings". These gestalt names are kinda dopey though, "Construction Maximus"?

I had faith that E-Ironhide wasn't going to be the bright green color of the Hasbro photo, it just seemed way too over the top and too dissimilar to the OTFCC and test shot photos.

I still don't see what everybody is so excited over with WingSaber, even that Hasbro photo on the cardback is a big, fat, Power-Rangersy brick with almost no articulation at all.
