An Autobot series based on random Wreckers. Who's the gestalt going to be? Maybe they can toss in an extra head to make Rack'n'Ruin?

Tommy, close your eyes.
The combiner is swiping the RiD combaticon name, Ruination. His head sculpt is based on Emirate Xaaron (These guys were shown at SDCC I think.)
Hey, this looks to be BH Ultra Magnus. He's also a flipping weird amalgamation of PRiD voyager Prime.

Seemingly going for this cover art: http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/transf...ml#post8909692
Huh. I saw it and was thinking more Superion without the goggles and faceplate. I have a hard time picturing Xaaron in an action role, and didn't see on Ruination that weird thing that goes on with his mouth.

It's called a "moneygrab".They're filling space in the line, I guess.
Here's the slides Hasbro brought to Comic-Con last year for this Wreckers wave, and note that every figure has a new accessory from the original Combaticon molds:

I think in that high-res you can see the weird mouth thing going on, and of course the crest matches up too.

(You mixed up Twintwist and Roadbuster there JT. ^)
I found FoC Grimlock tonight. I like him quite a bit, but I will concede that his transformation and alt mode are seriously lacking. Concessions to remain faithful to the robot mode and budget? *Shrug* He is very light, mainly due to the hollow chest to accommodate the light gimmick there. Robot mode is grrrrreat though, and his shoulders have a wider range of movement than I thought he would have. Both sword and shield are a little smaller inperson but still look good. Buy this guy if you dig his robot mode design, otherwise pass.
I just noticed this thread is almost nine years old! Wow. I think its due for the title to change. Energon, haha.
Thanks, fixed. I checked a couple others and figured since they were right the rest were too. Oh, don't forget to click the images to get a larger view of the slides.
Frustrating to hear that he's hollow and simple, I was looking forward to this figure but sorta suspected we were getting duped when they put a light feature in it. Where did you find him, and for how much?I found FoC Grimlock tonight. I like him quite a bit, but I will concede that his transformation and alt mode are seriously lacking. And the funny part is that this is a sequel thread to another super long thread that got eaten in the great ISE wars, along with the mega-giant Just Found LA thread.I just noticed this thread is almost nine years old! Wow. I think its due for the title to change. Energon, haha.
"Energon and beyond" still fits, either you can look at it as just "energon" the element in TF, or you could say that this is WELL beyond TF:Energon.![]()

TRU, although I saw on Facebook that Target is starting to finally get voyagers in. Ran into another local collector at TRU and we went to the service desk armed with the item number and their backroom guy brought them out to us. I only got Grimlock; the other collector got there before me so I conceded Blaster to him.
I read through the first 20ish pages of the thread and was laughing at some of my own comments and predictions from back then. We apparently were all *very* impressed with Energon combiners back then, hehe. Oh if only past Adam could see the Hercules and Giant on my shelves now..
Oh, just remembered voyager Springer and Astrotrain! I assume those will be at Toyfair next week.
Wasn't Ruination a Decepticon though?
Nowhere in your incoherent ramblings did you come anywhere close to the answer. Thanks to you, everyone in this room is now stupider having heard you. I award you no points and may God have mercy on your soul. -Billy Madison-
Thanks for the intel. I hate when you have to use item numbers to get stuff out of TRU, they always lie to my face claiming it's coming on the next truck, everything they have is already on shelves.
I'll be honest, I still kinda like the Energon combiners more than I do the PCCs or FOC Bruticus, the central core figures are better and the limbs are more complete, even though they do have the cheaty extra parts that don't look like much. And they were priced reasonably for what they were. Aftermarket doesn't count, obviously (although the aftermarket also makes the Energon combiners much better too).
Yeah, I hope to see voyager FOC Springer and Astrotrain at Toy Fair, those sound really promising.
Bingo! Plus they get to protect an existing trademark.
