Now if only Slipknot and Limp Bizkit can follow the lead . . . I just heard that Phish called it quits, too, so I'm even more joyful. I'm gunning for Dave Matthews next and all will be well.

Scott Stapp is a goon, for sure, but I'd still like to see him whip the hell out of Fred Durst.

Well Phish probably had their brake up initiated by there bassist who was recently caught in a compromising situation with a young girl who happened to be a Hell's Angel's daughter. Who can blame the rest of the band mates for not wanting to continue on.

Actually, no, that whole situation blew over and Mike Gordon was cleared of any charges. The reason Phish is calling it quits is that they've been together for over 20 years and just aren't feeling the same vibe anymore. I'm a huge Phish fan and i can tell by their newest record that things aren't the same as the music doesn't even sound like Phish anymore. I'm hoping i can catch their last shows at their festival in Vermont in August.

Well, I'm one of the "few" million people who "liked something they shouldn't have liked" and bought Creed's CDs. Sorry you guys think they sucked so bad. Maybe you'll be more at piece now that there's one less band on the radio to at least represent rock! Yeah, you're right, we're better off with all the kids listening to Britney, Justin, & Chingy (or whatever rapper is the flavor this week).

Sure, alot of their stuff started to sound the same, but don't hate 'em because they had a positive message. Where's your "tolerence" for different points of view? "Wouldn't this world be a boring place if everyone believed the same way?"

I don't know if i'd define Creed really as "rock music" on any level. They seemed to be more of the "pop-rock" kinda like blink 182 is "punk-pop" if you read me. They really didn't have any music that could be defined as their own. Hell, we used to refer to them as "Pearl Temple Garden" due to all the times it seemed that they were ripping off those bands. I think it was also that Scott Stapp was a complete jacka-- with the poor handling of his drunken escapade in Chicago. Any singer who tries to pass off his ignorance as a "unique" experience, should be drug out into the street and beaten with a lead pipe.

But hey, that's just me.

Well, I don't hold animosity toward Creed because of their sound. I did not like them after learning how they handled their poor performances, specifically their Chicago show. It was like a move Axl Rose would have pulled.

Yo Bacta, chill out man. No ones attacking you here, some of us just don't like Creed. It's ok if you do. I don't remember hearing anyone say they don't like them because they have a positive message. Personally, I don't care what their message is. IMO the music sucks, and that's all that matters to me.

Hell, I love Slipknot. You don't see me jumping all over Ceaser do you? It's all a matter of taste, and to each his own.

BTW: JMG hit it right on the head, Creed is pop-rock just like Blink 182 is pop-punk. There really aren't anymore signed bands out there that are straight up Rock and Roll these days...... it just doesn't sell

i didn't hate creed's first album. i hated it when they released it again with another title. korn does the same thing. they've put out the same album 4 times with different names. thus i have no grief that the band is no more.

but i also allow a double standard to enter into the music equation. i'd prefer metallica not experiment with their sound and continue to crank out albums like their first 4.
