I got one of these for X-Mas, and i wanted to know some stuff about it, anyone know anything? It says on the package the figs were cast from the original molds, which is evident, it is really cool, although they are not *Techniaclly* original, and i think the paint Jobs are A whole lot better than they were, anyone know?

Hi Mrhat! This 4-Pack was a Toys'R'Us exclusive. It retailed at $19.99. It has the same molds but I believe the Chewbacca is slightly different in size then the original. The manufacture dates on the legs say 1995 rather than 1977 so people cannot pass them off as originals.

The 4-Pack is not common but not rare either. It sells on the secondary market between $30-60 roughly. It's a neat collectible. I kinda wanted another version with Boba Fett and a couple of other bounty hunters.

Which 4 figures were in the Classic Edition 4-Pack? Were they they the four that came from the "Early Bird" pack?

It comes with Chewebacca, Luke, Darth V., and Han Solo, so no 3po or leia, plus it comes with 4 exclusive widevision cards, which is cool.

It's not the same figures as the original Early Bird set. The original Early Bird set of vintage figures consisted of Luke, Leia, R2-D2, and Chewbacca.

- The Luke has an extended telescoping lightsaber.
- The Chewbacca came with a 'greenish' looking bowcaster rather than a blue one.

IIRC, Kenner received a lot of negative feedback with this set from the vintage collectors at the time. That's why there were no additional figures released like these.

I remember my friend getting the early bird figures with the Luke, Leia, Chewie and Artoo. Since there were four, I was kinda wondering if they would have kinda released them in that pack as well. Interesting that they chose Vader and Han instead of going with the original four. The line up actually DOES make sense. Han goes with Chewie and Luke is related to Vader.
