    Top Ten Toys of '04

Plo Koon 200 is back, and it is that time of year again.

I would like to start off this thread for apoligizing on not starting it sooner, and I would also like to apologize to all the forumites for being gone so long. I moved again and had to do a lot of stuff and just never got back to posting. But, I am back.

    Onto to business.

Please vote for what you felt were the ten best figures of '04. Repaints count, VOTC, POTC counts, re-releases don't, and the first two '04 Saga Waves, and the first wave of Clone Wars animated don't count because I found these toys at retail in 2003.

I will tally up the lists that everyone gives and put a list of what everyone feels are the overall top ten figures.

    Here is my list:

    1. VOTC Darth Vader (I am a sucker for Vader's)
    2. VOTC Boba Fett
    3. VOTC Stormtrooper
    4. Dengar
    5. Captain Antilles (because I voted for him)
    6. Padme Celebration (This was always my most wanted TPM toy)
    7. Dutch Vander
    8. Tie Pilot
    9. Feltipern Trevagg
    10. General Madine

Always, be sure to look forward to my First Annual Action Figure AcadmenY Awards!!!
Come vote in my Best Figure thread this Preview Month.

    1. VOTC Chewie
    2. VOTC Boba Fett
    3. VOTC Stormtrooper
    4. VOTC Han Solo
    5. OTC TIE Pilot
    6. OTC Lando Skiff
    7a. OTC Dagobah Luke
7b. OTC Dagobah Yoda (they have to be together otherwise they are pointless)

My favorite vehicle would be Boba Fett's Slave One.

1-VOTC Chewie...c'mon, this was the Chewie that we've been waiting for!
    2-VOTC Vader to date!
    3-VOTC Stormie...again, best stormie yet
    4-VOTC Han yet.
5-OTC Sandtrooper...I missed the POTJ version. Not as cool as the VOTC Stormie, but still a very cool figure!
6-Dagobah Luke...although he has limited joints and one pose, still a cool figure.
7-Dagobah Yoda to date. Good sculpt with a neat feature and accessories!
8-VOTC Boba Fett...okay, I missed out on this. If I owned one, he would be up on the list so I am going by what I have seen on pics!
9-VOTC Artoo...Either you hate him or love him, I am one of the ones that love him! Awsome scult, nice concept with the periscope...although it could have been better. And is the most accurate artoo to date. Compared him to Bar2-d2 and and you will see a difference.
10-VOTC Ben Kenobi...okay, he isn't the best figure in the world, and hasbro could have done better with more joints, better head, and a better fitted cloak. But he is posed with my other figures and he is truly nice.

There you go, that is my list. Now with the most hated figure of the year...wait...most hated figure of all time....................................

VOTC THREEPIO...What were they thinking when the approved this????

    1. VOTC Fett
    2. VOTC Stormie

    7. Saga/OTC Bossk
    8. POTC Myo
    9. VOTC Lando
    10. Saga R1-G4

Biggest letdown? VOTC 3PO & DannikJerriko (TIE)

Most over rated figure (I'm gonna take a beatin' for this one): VOTC Han.

Sorry i liked it. but it's not the best that could have been done. Still great.

    1) Cloud Car Pilot
    2) Feltipern
    3) Dannik
    4) Padme Celebration
    5) Sly Moore
    6) Antilles
    7) Elom
    8) RapperTune
    9) Myo
    10) J'Quille

You said we couldn't include them, so I have no idea how I'd rank them in my list above, but..

Luke Hoth was great with its interaction with the Wampa
Luke Jedi was flimsy, but I liked the figure for its articulation and likness
R1-G4 is just a cool piece to the collection
Bar-2-D2 is likewise, and it was a nice way to add removeable accessories to R2

I didn't collect VOTC and as you might guess, am not impressed by re-sculpts and re-releases or packaging changes. I'm very comfortable picking my favorites of the lot that I listed in my Top 10 for 2004 above. That's all.
