Can anyone post some pics of these variants? I had no idea there were variations until I read it on here tonight.
I have one of them...I painted the eyes red instead of that awful green (which was partially covered-up by the color stripes anyway) and it looks sweet, now. If there really is a good variation I would love to have two with the red eyes...

I have both variations now. The easiest way to tell them apart is the eye color. The blue one has green eyes and matches the picture on the package. The brown one has red eyes and looks like the ones from Episode 1. I will get pictures up ASAP. It's actually a pretty cool variation. I like the blue one myself.
