It is a 1280X1024 and is a 17" LCD flat screen monitor.

That sounds like the maximum resolution, your computer determines what actual rez you're using. Like my 17" Dell Trinitron can display up to 1600x1200 but I run it at half that.

Thanks JT for the clarification, I actually found it while snooping around in the Control Panel section. It is 1024 x 768.
