    basket full of clones

Here is my story. To make it more interesting, I put it in rhyme

It was a day like any other day
Upon getting off of work, what could I say
I had a fever, but the only prescription wasn't more cow-bell
it was for SW toys even though I am in fact broke as hell
After hitting the Power & McKellips Target to find nothing,
I was almost too tired to hit the WM on GF/McKellips & I wanted to keep on running
    but I figued WTH
    maybe I'll find something swell
there is a man, his wife, & 2 kids with quite a few clones in their basket when I get to the toy aisle
she grabbed an AT-RT driver & there went my smile
"Oh no" I proclaimed in my head.
Then he turned to me & said"
    "what are you looking for?"
to which I replied "the AT-RT driver his wife just grabbed, I hope there is more"
He asked "have you seen the other display?"
and took me to an endcap. Surely enough, I would find my AT-RT this day
I started to rummage, I started to grab
Shock troopers & drivers is what I nabbed
shortly thereafter, he came back with his family, so he wasn't alone
I could tell the number of figures in his cart had grown
he told me they were for his buddy who builds huge armies
I thought he could be a scalper, but didn't want to appear smarmy
he was only after clones, all shapes & all colors
he picked & he picked, and his basket got fully
he didn't give off a scalper vibe, after all, he had thus far been awfully nice
he asked me to make sure I didn't want any of the clones, in fact, I'm sure he asked me more than twice
in honesty, I was dumbounded, I didn't quite know how to act
but I still had quite a few clones of my own, enough to fill a large sack.
when it was all said and done, and the dust had all cleared
you could not find a clone, anywhere there
I wish I had a camera, for his basket was full
then he told his wife "I'm off to lay-away", so it might not all have been bull.
I hid 7 clones for a local board
and I had 5 for myself, when I walked out those doors

I don't know if he was a scalper or not, he was really nice & both him and his wife kept asking if I didn't want any of the clones they were getting. I think I grabbed most of the shock troopers & AT-RT drivers. In the end, he walked away with mainly #41 SAs, green clone commanders, & Bacaras; which around here I see lots of the time.

After reading your rhyme I got sort of excited so I jumped in my truck and drove around town, I went up the road and back down I went left, I went right hell I drove all over town and when I got home I grabed my bag and all it contained was a burger and fries.

"basket got fully"??? that may be the worst use of rhyme ever

I think it's curious that your poem is about wondering whether this family was composed of scalpers when you openly admit you had a "sack" full of clones and drivers they may have been wondering the same thing about you, even as they filled their own "sack" like Bizarro Santa Clauses.

I can't even find any of these clones, or the drivers, so there must be a bunch of non-scalpers afoot
