    A Titanium enigma...

    What is this?

    http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...e=STRK:MEWA:IT

    I thought it was simply a messed up Celebration III thing, but it DOESN'T have the markings and, according to the seller, it never did. It's got the translucent wing cannons and landing gear, and it's the right color for the Celebration 3 thingy...so...

    What is it? Another oddity? Something I'll have to spend years tracking down?

    Do let me know if you have any information.

    I got the original X-Wing, FINALLY! I'll have all of the commercially released Titaniums through Wave 3 now! w00t! Only $23...Ebay....-_-;

    Hmm, very odd. Could be a custom though, you'd think if it were more than that he would give more than just a vague description.

    without looking at one for reference, is it possible that its just a gold painted x-ray fleet x-wing? The only thing is, from memory, i thought the x-ray one may have had red tips on the lazers

    It could be a test shot for the original, or perhaps one where the hotstamping missed it, or perhaps an alternate exclusive for something that hasn't happened yet.

    I still think this thing is ugly though.

    Looks like a genuine C3 item to me.

    sicqnus is correct, it's a Celebration III X-Wing.

    Re: A Titanium enigma...

    Oh, I thought the difference was that the actual Celebration version was silver as I hadn't see one since before April. Forgot.

    Looks almost the same, the only difference we can see (since they don't show the side with the Indianapolis stamp) is that it doesn't have the stamp on the upper left wing. Maybe they got it second-hand from someone who rubbed them off.

    You'd think if they actually knew what they had that they would've given a more detailed description.

    Yeah, he WAS vague...it's probably a C3 one and he just didn't want to admit it. Doofus that he was.
